'Fast' electric vehicle charging is provided by Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ County Council in a number of locations.

Charging an electric vehicle is a simple process which requires a compatible plug-to-plug cable or tethered plug charge point unit.
There are two public charging networks operating in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. These are Dragon Charging and Connected Kerb.
Access to charging is provided by an RFID card or via a smart phone application. Please see charging point for instructions or visit or for more details
Both networks are an EV charging network that provides fast, reliable, easy access to EV charging across Wales.

Silverstone has reduced the tariff for Dragon Charging
We listened to your feedback. To help make public EV charging more affordable for residents, Silverstone has reduced the tariff for Dragon Charging 22kW fast chargers from 65p/kWh to 55p/kWh, effective 1st March 2026. Rapid chargers will remain at 65p/kWh, still among the most competitive rates in the borough. Thank you for sharing your views - they help us improve local services.
Here is a list of reduced cost chargers:
- High Street car park, Blaina
- Worcester Street car park, Brynmawr – this site is temporarily offline while a rapid charge point is installed
- Colliers Row car park, Ebbw Vale
- Abertillery Leisure Centre – this site is temporarily offline while grid connection upgrade works are carried out; the 60kW rapid charge point remains available
- The Works Multi Storey, Lime Avenue, Ebbw Vale
- Lime Avenue, Ebbw Vale, by the hybrid business units
- Goldworks, Lime Avenue, Ebbw Vale
