Net Zero 2050
Welsh Government's target is for Wales to be Net Zero by 2050. Net Zero emissions means removing an equal amount of CO2 from the atmosphere as we release into it. Net Zero 2050 relates to the territorial emissions of Â鶹ÊÓƵ as a whole, which includes the carbon released by all organisations and people in Â鶹ÊÓƵ, including from housing, transport, businesses etc.
Where do Â鶹ÊÓƵ's territorial emissions come from?
We are working with our partners on a range of actions and strategies to reduce Â鶹ÊÓƵ's territorial emissions, including:
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Climate Assembly. The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Climate Assembly in March 2021, brought together 44 residents of Â鶹ÊÓƵ who made five recommendations in response to the question 'how can we tackle climate change in Â鶹ÊÓƵ in a way that is fair and improves living standards for everyone?'
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Climate Mitigation Steering Group. As part of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Local Well-being Partnership, partners have established a group to co-ordinate action on our territorial emissions, including developing and delivering actions in response to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Climate Assembly.
